Yellow-rumped Warbler

if a moment needs
a moment to observe it
what happens to now

Vesper Sparrow

I stood and watched the water in the creek as it flowed past the protruding stick. Once in a while a few bubbles would catch, stop for a second and move on. I looked at the empty stick as it quietly interrrupted flow and waited until the moment, the decisive moment hopefully, when the bubble would hit the stick and split and the repurcussions of that collison, in the form of lines of vibration in the water, make a smile surround for the eyes that contain eye/I to see clearly when now strikes

air moved through water to strike
harmonious chord

Eastern Kingbird

when the shape of infinity
falls in line with white cloud
the resultant contrast
lends fuel to speculation
and gently stirs emotion

lacy threadbare black
bra barely clings
to the curvaceous
form of the invisible women
inside us all eroticism
is mind driven
